Telekom declares 13 sen dvd

TM declares 13 sen (less 25% tax, 9.7 sen net) dividend ex. 18th May
This year alone, it has declared a total of 10 sen tax exempted + today 9.7 sen net = 19.7 sen
If you have bought in at RM 3.00, that is a dividend yield of 19.7/ 300 = 6.56 %
with capital appreciation of RM3.50 (today's price)/ RM 3.00 = 16.7 %
making a total of approx 23 % in less than a year...
That's RM 23,000 for every RM 100,000 invested, in less than a year...

I like TM too. Another high dividend stock we may look at is THPLNT, which declared a dividend of 8.5sen. Most likely announcemnt of entitklement date is second week of April, by bthen, price could goes up a few sen; normally it happen this way. Last year I manage to buy at 1.46 and sold at 1.65 during this period.

beside, THPLNT is also a GLC play. whay do you think?

Clever you..
Yep, I do hold TH Plant in my portfolio. I bought it at RM3.60 high (not so smart), then it declares a bonus issue 1:1 which brought the price down to RM1.80
Then it pays couple of record dividends (14 sen + 12 sen + ... I just lost track of the dividend).

Agreed. TH Plant is a good dvd counter and like you said, better buy bf announcement of dvd. I missed it at RM1.46 last few months. Let's see if we can get it at this price.

Another high dvd counter worth looking at is TDM. Bought last year betw. RM1.71 -1.76.
I missed it at RM 1.72 - 1.82 last 2 weeks bf announcement of dvd in early April. Last year dvd 14sen, this year 13sen. Like its NTA..

TH Plant last year dv was 7.5 sen cf. to this year's 8.5 sen, so it seems like they're making effort in paying better DPS. Hope they keep it up with better mgmt and yield on their plantation.

I'll look at the high dividend stocks you mentioned: acostec and FPI. Certainly sound interesting..

Ascotec and FPI are worth looking into to buy. Good dv. FPI is subsidiary of Ascotec..
